What to do if you entered an incorrect receiving address for your Ghost Exchange swap.

This is a serious issue because blockchain transactions are irreversible. Here's what you can do.

Before Sending Your Deposit

If you haven't sent your deposit yet:

  • Don't send anything — close the order and create a new one with the correct address
  • There is no cost to abandoning an unfunded order

After Sending Your Deposit

If you've already sent your deposit and realize the destination address is wrong:

If the address belongs to you (different wallet)

Your tokens will arrive at that wallet. No action needed — just access them from there.

If the address belongs to someone else

Unfortunately, we cannot redirect tokens once the swap is in progress. Blockchain transactions are irreversible.

If the address doesn't exist on that network

The transaction may fail, and our system may initiate an automatic refund.

Prevention

  • Triple-check your destination address before confirming
  • Copy-paste from your wallet — never type addresses manually
  • Send a test transaction first with a small amount
  • Verify first and last 6 characters of the address after pasting

If you entered a wrong address, contact Support immediately. While we cannot reverse completed transactions, we may be able to help if the swap hasn't been fully processed yet.
