I Received Less Than Expected
There are several reasons the received amount may differ slightly from the estimate.
Float Rate Fluctuation
If you used a float rate, the final rate is determined when your deposit confirms — not when you created the order. Market movement during the confirmation window can cause differences.
- —Typical variance: 0.1–0.5% for stable markets
- —Can be larger during high volatility
Network Fee Changes
Network fees fluctuate. If fees spiked between order creation and processing, the effective output may be slightly less.
Slippage on Large Orders
Large orders (50+ XMR equivalent) may experience slippage as liquidity is sourced from multiple providers.
What's Normal?
| Rate Type | Expected Variance |
|---|---|
| Float | Up to 1–2% |
| Fixed | Should match exactly (minus rounding) |
