Using a VPN or Tor
Ghost Exchange works over standard HTTPS. For additional network-level privacy, consider using a VPN or Tor.
VPN (Virtual Private Network)
A VPN encrypts your internet connection and routes it through a server in another location.
Benefits:
- —Hides your real IP address from Ghost Exchange servers
- —Encrypts all internet traffic on your device
- —Prevents your ISP from seeing you visited Ghost Exchange
Recommended VPN providers:
- —Mullvad (accepts XMR payments)
- —ProtonVPN
- —IVPN (accepts XMR payments)
Tor Browser
Tor routes your traffic through 3+ relays, making it extremely difficult to trace.
Benefits:
- —Maximum IP anonymity
- —Resistant to network surveillance
- —Free to use
Downsides:
- —Slower connection speeds
- —Some CAPTCHAs may appear
- —JavaScript must be enabled for the exchange widget
Our Recommendations
- —For casual privacy: Use a reputable VPN
- —For maximum anonymity: Use Tor Browser with VPN
- —Always combine with XMR for end-to-end privacy
We Don't Log IPs
Ghost Exchange does not log IP addresses regardless of whether you use a VPN or Tor. These tools provide additional protection at the network level.
