Choosing the Right Wallet for XMR Exchanges

Recommended wallets for Monero and other tokens when using Ghost Exchange.

Choosing the Right Wallet

To use Ghost Exchange, you need a wallet for the tokens you're sending and receiving. Here are our recommendations.

XMR Wallets (Receiving Monero)

  • Cake Wallet — Mobile wallet for iOS and Android. Beginner-friendly with built-in exchange features.
  • Feather Wallet — Lightweight desktop wallet for Linux, macOS, and Windows. Advanced features with a clean UI.
  • Monero GUI — Official Monero desktop wallet. Full-featured but requires syncing the blockchain.
  • Monero CLI — For advanced users comfortable with command-line interfaces.
  • MyMonero — Web and mobile wallet with quick setup. No blockchain sync needed.

BTC Wallets

  • Electrum — Lightweight, fast, well-established desktop wallet
  • Blue Wallet — Mobile wallet with SegWit support
  • Sparrow Wallet — Privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet

ETH / ERC-20 Wallets

  • MetaMask — Browser extension and mobile wallet
  • Trust Wallet — Multi-chain mobile wallet
  • Rainbow — Clean, simple Ethereum wallet

Multi-Chain Wallets

  • Trust Wallet — Supports BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, and many others
  • Exodus — Desktop and mobile, supports 200+ assets

What to Look For

  • Self-custody — You control the private keys
  • Open source — Code is auditable
  • Active development — Regular updates and security patches
  • Backup support — Seed phrase backup for recovery

Important

Never use exchange wallets (Binance, Coinbase, etc.) as your receiving address on Ghost Exchange. Use a personal wallet where you control the keys.
