Refund Policy — When and How Refunds Work

Understanding Ghost Exchange's refund process for expired, failed, or incorrect exchanges.

Refund Policy

Ghost Exchange aims to process every swap successfully. In rare cases, a refund may be necessary.

When Refunds Happen

  • Expired fixed-rate order — You didn't deposit within the 20-minute window
  • Network issue — A blockchain problem prevented the swap from completing
  • Under minimum — You sent less than the minimum exchange amount
  • Duplicate deposit — You sent a second deposit to the same one-time address

Refund Process

1. Our system detects the issue automatically

2. A refund is initiated to the sending address (if possible)

3. Network fees for the refund transaction are deducted

4. Refund typically processes within 30–60 minutes

Refund Limitations

  • XMR refunds — Due to Monero's privacy features, we cannot automatically refund to the sender. Contact support with proof of the transaction.
  • Very small amounts — If the deposit is too small to cover network fees, a refund may not be possible.
  • Wrong network — Tokens sent on the wrong network may be unrecoverable.

How to Request a Refund

1. Go to our Support page
